Cara is a resilient young woman who aged out of foster care at 18. Despite experiencing homelessness, she has fought for custody of her brother and is currently working as a waitress while studying to become a registered nurse. After the tragic loss of her sister in a car accident last year, Cara dreams of starting a program in South Carolina to support foster youth. An artist and aspiring author, she is writing a book about her journey to achieve her goals and give back to others.

Despite the heartbreaking loss of her sister in a car accident, Cara continues to move forward with hope and perseverance. She is even writing a book about her journey to inspire others. A laptop would be especially meaningful for her, as it would provide the tools she needs to complete her schoolwork more efficiently and graduate sooner. Having reliable technology would not only ease her academic journey but also help her get closer to achieving her goals and building the future she envisions for herself and her brother.
