A laptop for Danielle who was to get her GED

Danielle, 20 years old, NM

Wish submitted by:

NM CYFD - San Juan County

Danielle grew up in the foster care system before aging out. She is living in a transitional housing program that is helping her become a successful young adult. This is a positive step for Danielle, especially since her previous program closed down and she was given minimal time to find a new place to live. Although she has limited support, she is close to her fostering connections worker, which is beneficial for her. Danielle is optimistic about her future and enjoys her newfound independence. She is exploring career opportunities that will enable her to live on her own and support herself.

Danielle is thriving in her current placement at the transition housing. She is effectively utilizing the resources available to her and is excited about starting a GED program. She wishes for a laptop to help with online assignments and research. This new chapter in her life represents a significant opportunity for growth and improvement, and Danielle is eagerly looking forward to making positive changes.
