San Diego Youth ServicesLeah is living in one of the Extended Foster Care (EFC) housing programs. She is a determined young woman working hard to fulfill her childhood dream of joining the Navy. Leah enjoys spending time with her friends and going on runs, which helps her stay grounded and motivated as she pursues her goals.
Leah has been working tirelessly toward her dream of serving in the military, and she’s proud to be shipping out to boot camp in January. Through dedication and discipline, she has been going to the gym four days a week and has reached her goal weight, qualifying her for enlistment. With this amazing achievement, many of her clothes no longer fit. Leah is requesting an Old Navy gift card to shop for new clothes. Having an updated wardrobe would allow her to feel confident, celebrating the incredible progress she has made on her journey to serve her country. This request is broken into two parts.
