eScooter for Khloe to commute to school while facing medical issues

Khloe, 19 years old, FL

Wish submitted by:

Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County

Khloe is currently part of the extended foster care program and is living in state-provided housing. After experiencing multiple placements, she is beginning to feel a greater sense of stability in her life. Khloe is a resilient young woman who faces challenges due to a disability, which has made her academic journey particularly tough. Although Khloe does not have any family or close connections in the area, she maintains a positive attitude. She is determined to build an independent life and has an interest in attending a cosmetology program after she finishes high school.

Khloe is dealing with medical issues that have caused her to miss school, putting her housing at risk. Her housing depends on daily school attendance and good academic standing. She usually walks to school, but her current health makes that very difficult, and she lacks reliable transportation. An electric scooter would enable Khloe to commute to school consistently and on time, helping her stay in school and maintain her housing during this challenging period.

"Dear Wish Granter, This wish has drastically changed Khloe’s life. She is now able to get to school on time every day without worrying about finding a ride. This has been especially important because her housing depends on her school attendance. She loves her scooter and uses it daily, not only to get to school, but also to go to the grocery store, attend appointments, and get outside for fresh air. She says it works extremely well and even enjoys using it as a coping mechanism. Thank you for changing her life and for being a part of her journey."
