Desmond has been in foster care for several years, and he has faced significant challenges during this time, including at least four failed pre-adoptive placements. Currently, he is living in relative care and has finally found some lasting stability. However, he will eventually age out of the system, as his current caregivers are unable to adopt him. Desmond is undergoing evaluation for autism and finds it difficult to make friends. He loves Legos, which bring him a great deal of joy, and he takes pride in the intricate Lego sculptures he creates. At present, Desmond is more engaged with his case than ever before and is learning to advocate for himself. Despite his extensive history of trauma, he has made remarkable progress over the years.

Desmond really loves Legos; they make him happy and proud. He enjoys building detailed sculptures and puts a lot of creativity into his projects. Lately, he’s been getting more involved in his case and is learning to stand up for himself. With this new confidence, he’s starting to ask for special Lego sets when he feels brave. Every time he finishes a set, he lights up with pride and can’t wait to show it off to everyone! He will be so happy to get this new Lego Ninjago set!
