Vaeda has been in foster care several times. She is separated from her siblings and is living with a family friend. Although she misses her younger brother and sister, being in this situation allows her to stay at the same high school. Vaeda prefers this arrangement because she is getting good grades, has friends, and feels settled. She hopes that one day she can reunite with her siblings and live with them again!

Vaeda has always struggled to find stylish shoes in her size. The stores she visits typically offer only a limited selection, and most of the options aren’t very appealing. She dreams of owning a pair of New Balance sneakers, hoping they would not only fit well but also boost her self-esteem.
