Partnership for Families, Children & AdultsBrent recently relocated with his family to find safety from domestic violence. He has become stronger and developed healthier relationships through small groups in the Hope Initiative. The adversity he has faced seems to lessen as he challenges himself, and he thrives on outdoor activities.
Brent finds great joy in reaching mountaintops with his small group, Hope Circle. Through the Leaders in Training program, he is learning to give back to younger youth and developing his mentoring skills. Having his own hiking backpack will instill in him a sense of pride and independence as he continues to grow in resilience and leadership in the outdoors. This backpack will allow him to carry these positive memories with him on his journey, instead of relying on borrowing one.
