Marcela, a bright and driven young woman from South America, has made impressive strides in her new home. In an attempt to overcome language barriers, she has committed herself to English classes at community college, in hopes of achieving the proficiency needed to begin her higher education. She recently secured a position at Burlington Coat Factory, a significant accomplishment she's truly enjoying as she continues to forge her path forward.

Marcela is a hardworking and determined young woman who has faced significant barriers in pursuing her education. As an undocumented student, she is ineligible for traditional financial aid, which makes higher education opportunities especially difficult to access. Despite these challenges, Marcela remains committed to building a better future for herself and her community. She has recently enrolled in a phlebotomy certificate program, a program that will equip her with essential healthcare skills and open doors to a stable and meaningful career. Supporting Marcela in this step is not only an investment in her dreams but also in the valuable contributions she will bring to the healthcare field. With the right support, she will be able to overcome systemic barriers and achieve her goal of becoming a certified phlebotomist.
