Rin lives as a participant in a semi-assisted living program for Transition-Aged Youth. She is working toward attending college, where she plans to major in creative writing. Rin entered the Department of Human Services (DHS) care as a teen and later moved with a family member. However, she reentered DHS care and has been in the system ever since. By the time she turned 18, Rin had lived in 10 different placements. In her free time, she enjoys playing video games, participating in Dungeons & Dragons (DnD) with friends, writing poetry, and reading books.

As Rin enters her sophomore year of college, she’s been hoping to get a walking pad for her apartment to help her stay active while juggling classes, studying, and her daily routine. Rin is intentional about healthy meal planning and exercise in ways that feel sustainable and realistic for her, and she’s excited about incorporating a walking pad into her lifestyle.
