Ka'Miyah is a sweet girl who one day hopes to be a ballerina. She has had a tough beginning to her life ,but she is settling in so well in her foster family. Ka'Miyah grew up bouncing from shelter to shelter and learned how to take care of herself and her little brother at an early age. She is happy to have some stability right now and enjoys being around her brother and her foster siblings.

Ka'Miyah recently found herself in an emergency overnight placement into foster care. When she arrived at her new foster family's home, she realized she had no shoes, which made her feel a bit out of place. To help her feel more comfortable and confident, her foster mom took her shopping, where Ka'Miyah was excited to pick out a pair of cool Nike shoes. She couldn’t wait to show them off at school, just like her friends!
