Janelle has experienced abuse and neglect, which led to her initial removal from her home. She was placed with her four siblings, whom she deeply loves and is closely bonded with. However, due to her higher level of emotional and behavioral needs stemming from her trauma, she was later moved to a placement that could provide more intensive care and support. With everything she has endured, Janelle remains a smart and active young lady. She loves to read, has taken on leadership roles at school, and enjoys participating in swim lessons this summer. Physical activity has become one of her most meaningful outlets, helping her process and release the stress from her past experiences.

Janelle still struggles with the emotional impact of her experiences. Physical activity is one of the most effective ways for her to manage her anxiety and release stress in a healthy way. Having a bike would give her an outlet to channel her emotions, build confidence, and experience moments of joy and freedom. Being able to ride a bike would support her healing process and overall emotional well-being.
