He is a former foster youth and has been met with many challenges along the way. He has been transparent about past mistakes and changes he has made to overcome them. Malachi is seeking to obtain his cosmetology and barber licenses, which is something he loves and wants to explore and perfect.
Malachi is a young person at risk of being impacted by the government shutdown. He has recently started a job at Wendy's, and currently receives support for his food expenses through the SNAP program. As he works on his saving and budgeting skills, the suspension of SNAP benefits will significantly limit his ability to meet his food needs in November.
