Selene was born prematurely at 26 weeks' gestation and experienced several medical complications at birth. When she finally came home with her foster parents, they dedicated themselves to learning the essential medical care she required. After nearly two years of nurturing and support, they were able to adopt her. Selene is now thriving despite a range of ongoing medical needs, including a feeding tube, a colostomy bag, and a diagnosis of cerebral palsy. She enjoys spending time with her adoptive parents and shares a close, loving bond with them. Selene recognizes that she is unique because of her feeding tube and is learning to embrace her individuality with the support and encouragement of her family. Her journey has been challenging, but her loving family continues to provide her with the care and support she deserves.

Selene loves to be active, particularly enjoying climbing and sliding. A stair slide would be the perfect addition to her playtime, providing her with a safe space to enhance her gross motor skills. She can climb up safely and have a blast sliding down! This would bring her immense joy, especially as she celebrates her big 5th birthday!
