She is so proud to be a mother and wants to provide the best life for her son. Amelie is in college and works full-time in a school. She dreams of becoming a teacher and is pursuing her degree in elementary education.
Amelie is a young woman who has aged out of foster care and is also a mother to a wonderful young boy. She receives SNAP benefits, but with the government shutdown, those benefits will be put on hold. Amelie is uncertain about how she will provide food for her son this month. She currently works as a teacher's assistant, but the SNAP benefits help supplement her income.
