Dominic is an outgoing young man who enjoys school. Reading is his favorite subject, along with recess. He loves sports and dreams of becoming a football or basketball player. Dominic is helpful and always eager to be involved with those around him. He participates in basketball in his after-school program and enjoys being part of a team for the first time. His smile and laughter light up the room. Dominic has been separated from his siblings for most of his life, but they connect on Zoom occasionally. It's difficult for him, and he struggles with the loss of his biological family as he awaits a forever home.

Dominic is wishing for a Nintendo Switch—his first gaming device ever. For seven years, he lived in residential care where personal electronics weren’t allowed, so he’s never had the chance to play like his peers. Now he’s building healthy routines at home and school, and the Switch would be both joy and motivation: a positive reward after homework, a calming break on tough days, and a fun way to practice problem-solving and frustration tolerance through age-appropriate games. Most of all, this gift helps Dominic belong. Co-op games let him laugh and connect with caregivers and friends; portable play makes long rides and waiting rooms easier; and having something that’s his builds pride and confidence.
