Matthew has some developmental delays due to being in foster care and residential settings for most of his life. He lives in an Independent Supportive Living Arrangement (ISL) where he has his own apartment with staff to oversee his care and ensure his medical needs are met. Now that he is living independently has really made strides to improve his previous poor behaviors and communication skills. He has made great progress into a respectable young man and is very helpful around the house.

Matthew does not have any natural supports to provide him with Christmas presents, but has reached out to his worker with a request. Matthew has taken up a new hobby - reading! He has found a couple of book collections that he would like to have as a Christmas gift.
