Silas entered foster care in 2022 after his newborn sister tested positive for multiple substances. Despite facing some challenges over the past few years, Silas has been placed in a wonderful foster home with his little sister. He is described as resilient, energetic, and bright. Silas loves math and often completes an entire homework packet or workbook in a single day. He enjoys hands-on play, especially anything related to cars, Hot Wheels, or Monster Trucks, and he dreams of having his own monster truck once he is old enough to drive.

Silas is an exceptionally intelligent, generous, and caring boy who demonstrates wisdom beyond his years. He possesses many strengths and interests, but most impressive is his thoughtfulness toward his little sister. When he's in a toy store or asked about his wishes for a holiday or birthday, Silas' first thought is always about getting something for his sister. His protectiveness and consideration for her are admirable, especially given their difficult life circumstances. However, he rarely thinks about his own desires. It took a lot of encouragement and reassurance for Silas to finally share his own wish—a T-Rex Hot Wheels Set, which this generous and selfless big brother truly deserves.
