Troy loves to play video games and ride his bicycle. His favorite subject in school is reading. He wants his mother to read him a bedtime story every night. He enjoys hiking with his friends and going to the beach when the weather permits.

Troy just celebrated his eighth birthday, and his excitement for video games on his Xbox knows no bounds. For his belated birthday, he had been eagerly anticipating the gift of a new game console, a dream that his dad had every intention of making come true. Unfortunately, everything changed when the government shutdown led to his dad being laid off from his federal job. Now, what was once a promise of joy for Troy has turned into a bittersweet reality, as his father deals with the unexpected challenges of unemployment. It’s been a tough time for their family, but when Troy's new Meta Quest arrives, they will all be so excited to celebrate and play together!
