Therapeutic Interagency ProgramSilvia is a quiet girl who was taken from her parents after going through many frightening experiences. She struggles to adjust and feel safe in new environments because she has difficulty trusting adults. Despite this, she is a sweet girl who feels most comfortable when she is with her older sister, who has always cared for her. Silvia enjoys being around animals and loves it when someone reads to her.
Silvia has a difficult time whenever she is away from her older sister. Her foster mom wants to take her out for a special day of shopping for new clothes because, oftentimes, Silvia resists when it’s time to get dressed. She feels restricted in many of the clothes she owns. Having experienced physical and sexual abuse, Silvia’s foster mom is trying to help her feel safe and gain some control over her wardrobe. This shopping trip is crucial for Silvia to feel comfortable in her daily life.
