Cesar is one of seven children living with his mom and stepdad. Although his family struggles to make ends meet, his attitude remains remarkably positive. He is one of the funniest kids you'll ever meet—always smiling, cracking jokes, and finding ways to make others laugh. Despite the challenges he faces at home, Cesar demonstrates incredible strength and determination by coming to school every day and giving his best effort in hopes of building a better future. He is dependable, kind-hearted, and energetic. What makes Cesar truly special is his resilience and positive spirit; he shows that even in tough times, a good heart and hopeful mindset can shine through.

Cesar has never had the opportunity to ask for a new pair of shoes. He is a child who receives hand-me-downs from his siblings and has worn the same pair of shoes for two years. Unfortunately, those shoes fell apart today, and he was very upset about it. When asked what kind of shoes he would want, he mentioned some from our local thrift shop, understanding that new shoes are not in his parents' budget. Although Cesar was able to borrow a pair of shoes from school, having his own pair would greatly improve his self-esteem. He is an athlete who plays both football and basketball, and he wants the shoes the other boys are wearing. Getting a new pair would truly mean the world to him, as he would never ask for much, accepts whatever they can afford, and never complains.
