Think of UsTani'Yah has been thriving in kinship care for the past few years after being in foster care. A true foodie at heart, Tani'Yah's favorite activity is eating, and she's always eager to try new flavors. When she's not exploring culinary delights, she shines as the class clown, spreading joy with her silly antics and natural talent for making others laugh. In her quieter moments, Tani'Yah finds comfort in nurturing her baby dolls or expressing herself through dance.
Tani'yah and her aunt and cousins have been making the best out of what they can during this government shutdown, visiting food banks, borrowing funds from family members to have food for the week. Tani'yah has been requesting certain foods to bring with her to school that help complete her meals and are tasty. Her aunt's EBT card is still without funding, and there's not enough time or energy to visit all of the resources they've been given. Any support to help them get by with a bit more food will be helpful as Tani'Yah continues to go to school and engage with her friends and after-school work.
