Julisa is a sweet and talkative girl who juggles high school, dance, and working at McDonald's with her mom. She loves dance and sees it as a way to connect with others and travel. Although she values her independence, she knows asking for help is sometimes important. Julisa is proud of her good grades and aims to finish high school strong while making lasting memories. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and helping her family. Having been in and out of foster care, she’s focused on supporting her mom and maintaining stability at home. Dance is her creative outlet, and she always looks out for her siblings.

Julisa needs a second pair of dance shoes so she can join the school dance team. Her school's dance team requires specific shoes to enter. Julisa has been unable to buy them herself because whatever extra money she makes now goes to keeping the family stable, so she has not been able to buy anything for herself and her outlet, which is dance. If she were able to get the proper shoes, she would be able to join the team at her school and not only dance but also spend more time with appropriate peers.
