Madilynn is a smart and happy girl living in a foster home with her twin sister, Mary. She enjoys playing dress-up and drawing colorful pictures. Madilynn is very close to her sister, and they support each other through this challenging time in their lives. She loves horseback riding and playing soccer, and her favorite colors are blue and pink. Despite being placed in foster care, Madilynn remains a very loving little girl.

Madilynn owns a used scooter that is constantly breaking down. Despite her best efforts to keep it running, the battery recently died. For Christmas, she asked for a new scooter that she can use to ride to and from school. Since Madilynn lives too close to school to catch the bus, she has to walk. She will be incredibly excited and thrilled to wake up on Christmas morning and find a sparkling new scooter under the tree.
