Melissa spent several months in the foster care system before being adopted. Although she was grateful for her new family, she faced many challenges with her adoptive parents. After overcoming numerous hardships, Melissa is now studying art therapy at Arcadia and is embracing her newfound freedom. She is a talented young woman who enjoys drawing, painting, and photography. Melissa also finds comfort in her collection of plushies, which play an important role in her life.

Melissa adores stuffed animals. They have been the biggest source of comfort for her since childhood. They always helped her get through the hard times while growing up. She would love to have another one to hold close; something that reminds her she’s cared for and never alone.
