Laina entered foster care when her mother passed away, and the whereabouts of her father are unknown. She was living with her stepfather, but he reported he could no longer care for her, and she was removed from his care and placed in a group home. Laina is a great kid with so much bright potential. She is smart, funny, and beautiful inside and out. Laina is helpful to others, and she expresses her gratitude when someone does something kind for her. She enjoys music and going on adventures, like biking or hiking.

All of Laina's shoes are either hand-me-downs or donations, and a new pair of shoes for Christmas would give her a much needed confidence boost as she starts at a new school in December. Laina has had a very difficult year, and has had to move and adjust to multiple different placements and schools and having her holiday wish granted would be so special and validating to her.
