Avery spent time in a residential facility. She is a girl who loves to read and engage in crafty projects. She can easily lose herself for hours in a book or while working on art. Always quick to encourage and assist others, she sometimes struggles with self-confidence and doesn't always see herself the way others do or believe she is good enough. At times, she can feel down and out of place, but a hug or a listening ear can help pull her out of her thoughts. Her heart is as big as her smile, and she is always ready to help a friend or a stranger in need. Having experienced loneliness and feelings of being left behind, she is determined to ensure that no one else feels that way. Although life has brought her many tears, she always manages to find a reason to smile!

Avery has faced many challenges in her life, and one of her coping strategies is getting lost in music. Listening to calming sounds helps her stay regulated and calm when her body and mind are in overdrive. In the past, she has used noise-canceling headphones, and her favorite brand is Beats. Pink is her favorite color, and she would be thrilled to find a pair of pink Beats headphones under the tree this year!
