Therapeutic Interagency ProgramJoshua is a quiet boy who has experienced a lot of abuse and neglect. He was removed from his parents' home and placed with a relative, who then overdosed, so he moved again. He can be very protective of his little sisters, and also is quick to frustration and anger. It has been hard for him to process all of the changes and losses. He finds joy in food and in playing with building toys quietly by himself.
Joshua has a lot of trauma and grief to process, but he is getting more comfortable and stable every day. This will be a tough holiday season without the family he always knew, but he is glad to be in a safe and loving home. He will be so excited to find this marble run set under the tree this year. He has never opened many Christmas gifts, so this year will be full of new experiences.
