Fostering Hope - Bucks

Elexis has had quite a journey through the foster and adoptive care system, entering it at birth after being born addicted to multiple drugs. For the first seven years of her life, she lived in a home for sick and addicted children and various foster homes. At eight, Elexis was adopted along with her three siblings, but she continued to struggle with the effects of her early addiction. Tragedy struck when one of her brothers was murdered, while the others faced challenges similar to those of their birth parents, often battling addiction themselves. Despite these hardships, Elexis has worked hard to turn her life around; she spent three years of her teenage life homeless, moving between shelters. Through determination and resilience, she managed to put herself through college and continues to strive for success, even as she copes with significant trauma and PTSD. Currently, Elexis lives alone in government housing and is diligently working to maintain her independence.

Elexis loves Bombas socks because they're so comfortable. She has two pairs currently from a foster closet she shops at sometimes; however, her favorite pair is starting to show some severe wear. She would love a new pack to keep her feet warm this winter.
