Sacramento State Guardian Scholars ProgramMilana is majoring in Business with a focus on Marketing and actively participates in her Samahang Pilipino, where she finds community and support. As the youngest of four siblings, she entered foster care at an early age, which often left her without stable family support. Moving from placement to placement made it challenging to adjust to new environments, rules, and schools. One of the toughest aspects was the limited contact with her siblings, leaving her feeling isolated and lonely at times. However, these experiences also instilled in her a sense of strength, patience, and determination to push through difficulties. Music has always been a significant outlet for her, helping her relax and manage stress when things get overwhelming. Milana enjoys spending time with friends, attending campus events, and exploring new spots around Sacramento. Ultimately, she is committed to building a stable and connected future for herself.
Milana wishes for a pair of Bose QuietComfort headphones. These headphones would help her block out noise in busy dorms, crowded study areas, and during long days on campus. Having reliable noise-cancelling headphones would make it easier for her to focus on assignments, listen to lectures, and stay grounded while balancing school and her programs.
