Sacramento State Guardian Scholars Program

Shyanne is a student at Sacramento State and an active member of the Guardian Scholars Program. She is majoring in cybersecurity and is deeply interested in safety, protection, and building a strong sense of independence as a young woman. Outside of school, she enjoys staying active and is beginning her journey into Krav Maga for fitness, discipline, and personal empowerment. Growing up in foster care came with both ups and downs for Shyanne, but overall, the experience helped her gain important insights, resilience, and self-awareness. These lessons have shaped her determination to protect her peace, stay prepared, and take care of herself as she pursues her education and future career.

Shyanne often drives to school, appointments, and daily responsibilities. As a young woman, having a reliable emergency kit gives her a sense of security and independence, particularly during late-night drives or unexpected situations. The camo version of the kit is compact and durable, including the essential tools she needs to feel prepared while on the road.
