Assad is a hardworking and resilient young man whose journey reflects incredible courage and determination. After moving to the United States on his own, he pushed through the challenges of learning a new language, adapting to a new culture, and navigating an unfamiliar school system. Despite moments of doubt, he stayed focused and proudly graduated from high school, a milestone that reminds him of his strength and how far he has come. Running and soccer bring Assad joy, offering him a sense of freedom and connection to his childhood. He also finds comfort in listening to music from back home, which helps him feel close to his late grandmother and keeps her memory alive in his heart.

Assad would love a new pair of Nike shoes. He loves that they’re both comfortable and stylish, and having a reliable pair he can wear every day would mean a lot to him.
