The Lost & Found InstituteDavid grew up moving between foster homes, learning early on how to adapt, listen, and find strength in unexpected places. Now a freshman in college, he’s channeling that resilience into his engineering studies. Every new class gives him another piece of the puzzle, and he’s determined to build a future where he can design, create, and contribute something meaningful. Outside of class, David keeps himself grounded with the things he loves. He plays basketball with friends, where the easy laughter and friendly competition help him unwind. His deepest passion is for horses. During his time in foster care, he participated in equine therapy, an experience that helped him heal and gave him a powerful sense of connection. That’s where his love for horses truly began, and one day he hopes to own one of his own—a reminder of how far he’s come and the life he’s building for himself.
This year, David is hoping for a pair of AirPods for Christmas. With his busy schedule as a college freshman—juggling classes, study sessions, and time at the Y—having wireless earbuds would make his days a little smoother. Whether he’s listening to lectures on the go, zoning in with music during homework, or catching up with friends between classes, AirPods would be a useful and meaningful gift that fits perfectly into his daily routine.

"Thank you so much for the AirPods, I'm really grateful. As a college freshman, my days are pretty nonstop with classes, study sessions, and time at the Y, so having wireless earbuds makes a huge difference. I’ve already been using them to listen to lectures on the go, focus during homework with music, and catch up with friends between classes. Your gift is genuinely helpful and means a lot to me. Thank you again for thinking of me and supporting me this Christmas."
