The Lost & Found InstituteDavid grew up moving between foster homes, learning early on how to adapt, listen, and find strength in unexpected places. Now a freshman in college, he’s channeling that resilience into his engineering studies. Every new class gives him another piece of the puzzle, and he’s determined to build a future where he can design, create, and contribute something meaningful. Outside of class, David keeps himself grounded with the things he loves. He plays basketball with friends, where the easy laughter and friendly competition help him unwind. His deepest passion is for horses. During his time in foster care, he participated in equine therapy, an experience that helped him heal and gave him a powerful sense of connection. That’s where his love for horses truly began, and one day he hopes to own one of his own—a reminder of how far he’s come and the life he’s building for himself.
David is also hoping for a Dillons gift card this Christmas so he can pick up baking supplies and gingerbread house kits. He and his friends love getting together during the holidays to bake cookies, decorate gingerbread, and make a fun mess in the kitchen. With a gift card, he can grab everything they need to keep their annual tradition going—flour, sugar, sprinkles, and all the festive goodies that make their holiday baking nights special.

"Thank you so much for the Dillons gift card! I really appreciate your kindness, and I’m so excited to use it for our holiday baking tradition. My friends and I love getting together to bake cookies, decorate gingerbread houses, and have a fun (messy) night in the kitchen, and this will help us get everything we need to make it happen."
