Amari is a bright and energetic boy who loves to compete and shines when he’s encouraged and praised. Beneath his confident spirit, he can be quite self-conscious and sensitive to how others see him. He and his brother are being lovingly raised by their grandmother while their father works through challenges with alcohol addiction. Amari is doing his best to navigate the confusion and emotions that come with this, showing remarkable strength and heart along the way.

Amari loves anything that lets him move fast and feel free. He imagines riding it around the neighborhood and showing off new tricks as he gets better. A hoverboard would give him a fun way to burn energy and stay active. It would make his Christmas unforgettable.
