The child welfare system had a revolving door throughout Hope's childhood. She experienced physical and emotional abuse in her childhood home, and the trauma took its toll. Although several relatives offered to care for her, Hope struggled with her mental health, and each new caregiver eventually decided that they were not adequately equipped to support her. Hope is now a legal adult, a brave young woman working to build a life with the stability she has always wished for.

Music brings Hope comfort when she feels overwhelmed, and she is asking for Beats headphones, to bring her focus inward and soothe her mind with her favorite songs. Without family to indulge her, Hope will not find many gifts under the tree this Christmas, so granting this wish will bring her much joy as she realizes that someone is wishing her a happy holiday.
