Jacob is an amazing young man who has had a hard road paved for him. Jacob is currently in foster care with his grandparents, away from his 4 siblings. Though foster care is tough on Jacob, he wakes up every day with a smile on his face and a positive outlook. Jacob's favorite thing to do is cooking; he has been able to obtain his ServSafe certificate and is hoping to get a job in a kitchen soon. Jacob also enjoys playing pool and is really excited about school. Jacob also enjoys snowboarding. Jacob is such a beautiful young man who can always make you smile.

Jacob is asking for these new shoes because he has never owned a new pair in his life. As a foster child now placed in kinship care and separated from his siblings, he is trying to find his footing in a world that feels unfamiliar and overwhelming. Starting at a new school without the comfort of his family has been especially difficult. A pair of Nike shoes may seem small, but to Jacob, they represent confidence, comfort, and a sense of belonging. Wearing what his peers wear would help him feel less alone and more connected during a time when he has lost so many connections that mattered. These shoes would be more than just something to wear; they would give Jacob a boost of self-confidence and a reminder that he is worthy, seen, and supported.
