Joy is very outspoken and does her best to be the best person she can be, considering her history. She has been in care for several years and has experienced many homes, some of which may have been very traumatic for her. Nevertheless, she has learned how to navigate the foster care system. Although she has a few developmental delays, she is very intelligent. Her current school has praised her progress since she started in September 2025, noting that she has even served as a mentor for other students. Joy is on the right path to graduating in June 2026.

Joy is hoping for a Shake Shack gift card, as enjoying her favorite meal is one of the ways she brings happiness into her day.
