JaMiyah entered foster care in October 2024, just a few months after completing high school. JaMiyah is soft-spoken and takes pride in figuring things out on her own. She has had to be reminded to ask for help when needed. She enjoys cooking and cleaning and is currently searching for either warehouse or housekeeping work. She is proud that she completed high school on time, despite having several challenges in her home environment that often caused her to fall behind in school. She has goals of traveling and experiencing new things.

Jamiyah has always wanted her own iPad. She often goes to the library when she wants to do internet searches, rather than using her cell phone. She also uses her phone for completing applications and searching the internet, but would much rather have an iPad. An iPad would allow her to have a mobile option for entertainment, such as playing games and watching movies while on the go.
