Marah is a wonderful teen girl who has faced many challenges and struggles during her time in care. She has recently moved from a foster home to a residential setting due to mental health struggles. Because of this she struggles to stay in good spirits. Marah is a tough kid but still struggles with confidence and though she is working on this in therapy, it is still difficult for her to remain in good spirits at times while she’s in a new residential placement.

Even though Marah isn’t allowed to have electronics in her group home, a radio earmuff headset for Christmas would be essential for her emotional regulation. Music is very important to Marah, and she uses it to decompress and manage stress, especially since she shares a room with two roommates and has no alone time. Having another way to cope with stress would offer a rare opportunity to create personal space, helping her stay calm and continue making progress while adjusting to her new environment.
