Arik was taken into foster care a couple of years ago and experienced some very traumatic circumstances. Fortunately, she has been placed with a foster family that has helped her process much of her trauma. Arik is very artistic and enjoys expressing her feelings through art; her favorite color is black, but she is learning to incorporate other colors for artistic effect. Although she sometimes struggles with social interactions, she has a best friend who is a snake.

Arikah is asking for a gift card to be able to purchase a special Christmas dinner to make for her foster family. She has foster sisters who love to cook and are teaching her the art of cooking and giving to others. It will be a wonderful learning experience.
