Essence was initially brought to the attention of the department due to neglect, but she is now thriving in her new foster home. She has developed a strong bond with her foster mom and is actively participating in therapy, where she is learning to identify and label her emotions. Essence is an outgoing and creative individual, with a passion for photography and aspirations of becoming a photographer when she grows up.
