NE DHHS - Madison CountyLizzy's journey through foster care has been longer than most. It began when she was very young and seemed to come to an end when she was adopted at age 9. Unfortunately, that adoption did not work out, and Lizzy became a ward of the state again at age 12. She has been in the state's care for the past 7 years, experiencing many ups and downs along the way. Although Lizzy hasn't always made the best choices, she is finally finding some success and appears to be turning her life around in a positive direction.
Lizzy loves music, using it as a way to cope with her challenges. She is a talented singer and enjoys creating TikTok videos in hopes of becoming "TikTok famous." These AirPods will serve as a reminder to Lizzy that she is cared for and that there are people who believe in her as she transitions out of the foster care system after many years.
