Children's InstituteCandace is a young girl diagnosed as non-verbal, autistic, and developmentally delayed. In her short life, she has already endured significant challenges, including time in foster care due to neglect and exposure to domestic violence. After being reunited with her mother, Candace faced homelessness until just two months ago. Now, for the first time, Candace has started school—and she is thriving. She is learning how to interact with other children and adults, gaining new skills, and experiencing the joy of stability and growth. Candace’s journey reflects incredible resilience, and with continued support, she has the opportunity to flourish in a safe and nurturing environment.
Candace would love to have a tablet to watch her favorite educational shows and play interactive games. As a non-verbal child with autism, these activities help keep her stimulated, engaged, and happy while also supporting her learning and development. A tablet would give Candace a safe and fun way to explore, express herself, and build important skills. This gift would not only bring joy to Candace but also ease the financial burden on her mother, making it both meaningful and impactful for their family.
