Jayanna has been in foster care since she was 5 years old. Her journey has involved taking care of herself and her brother while moving between several foster homes and foster groups and staying with various family members and friends. Although she and her brother are no longer living together, Jayanna remains optimistic about being reunited with him. She is attending cosmetology and is looking for employment. She is known for being sweet, lovable, respectful, and happy, always ready to help others. Jayanna has a big heart and is very forgiving. She enjoys dancing, making TikToks, cooking, and watching the show Hell's Kitchen. Jayanna is working hard to achieve independence as she navigates independent living. Her dream is to become a traveling hair stylist and work with celebrities such as basketball player Angel Reese, and rappers Cardi B and Latto.

Jayanna is in her final semester of cosmetology school. It is crunch time for her! Between classes, attempting to secure a salon job and working a new job to cover her bills, Jayanna has been busy working and building her clientele. Jayanna has been perfecting trendy styles and creating unique ones. Jayanna uses her iPad for everything from notes, creating her portfolio to keeping her schedules in order. A new iPad pencil would help her capture her notes and draw out her hairstyles more precisely.
