Kia is a dedicated college student majoring in education, driven by a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Growing up in a challenging environment, she spent much of her childhood in and out of juvenile detention facilities, as well as in foster homes and group homes. Before aging out of the foster care system at 18, Kia experienced the loss of her parents, who passed away. Despite these hardships, Kia has channeled her experiences into her ambitions. She loves to sing and write, using her creativity as a means of self-expression and healing. Kia aspires to be a role model for other girls who have faced similar struggles, hoping to inspire them with her journey and demonstrate that a brighter future is possible. Her commitment to education and advocacy reflects her desire to create positive change for those who have experienced adversity.

Kia is hoping to receive a set of glass Pyrex storage containers to assist her with meal preparation and organization throughout the week. Having sturdy, reusable containers would make it easier for her to portion meals, store leftovers safely, and keep food fresh without the worry of spills or waste. This wish is aimed at creating more structure and ease in her daily routine, helping Kia save time, reduce stress around meals, and stay on track with planning ahead for herself and her household.
