Jas's mother passed away two years ago due to a drug overdose, and he is still grieving her loss. He is currently being raised by his grandmother, along with five other siblings. They had to move into safe housing and change schools. Jas loves sports and hopes to join a team someday. He enjoys spending time outdoors and also loves to skateboard. However, he is struggling to adjust to his new school and make new friends.

Jas needs a new pair of shoes because his current ones are very worn out. He is excited about the idea of not only getting new shoes but also having the opportunity to choose them himself. He would love to select a pair that reflects his personal style. Since he is starting at a new school, having a fresh pair of shoes will signify a new beginning and help him enter his classes with confidence.
