Michael grew up in kinship care with his siblings and faced challenges in his non-traditional upbringing. He dreamed of becoming an NFL football player and dedicated much of his childhood to the sport. Unfortunately, during high school, he suffered a torn ACL that forced him to stop playing. This setback opened new opportunities for him. After recovering, he discovered a passion for home remodeling and started his own business. He enjoys transforming houses and a variety of projects and seeing the results of his work. Although he didn’t achieve his NFL dream, he finds fulfillment in building beautiful and functional homes.

While we know the holidays have passed, there is still time to make this wish come true! Michael is asking for a Target gift card to help with groceries because money is tight for him after the holidays. This support would help him stock up on essentials and also pick up snacks and simple treats for New Year’s when his friends and family come over. Being able to provide food and refreshments would take some stress off and allow him to focus on enjoying time together, welcoming the new year with comfort, connection, and a warm home.
