Demoin is such a sweet and caring kid. He loves spending time outdoors, playing basketball and football, but he’s also a passionate gamer and enjoys creating artwork. Demoin contributes around the house by helping with chores, and he looks forward to playing video games as a reward after a long day of work. Though he has faced challenges in school since entering foster care, Demoin has shown incredible determination to catch up to his grade level. His hard work is truly paying off, and he’s almost there, continuing to put in the effort every day.

For his birthday, Demoin is asking for a new bed that he can feel comfortable in while in foster care with his grandmother. As he is getting a little older, he is hoping to create a more mature space that truly feels like his own. Having a bed he has personally picked out, along with age-appropriate touches like LED lights and a more game-room style setup, would help his room reflect who he is becoming. While in foster care, especially in a relative placement, having a personal space that feels safe, comfortable, and empowering is incredibly important. Creating a room that supports his growing independence would boost his confidence, help him feel settled, and provide a sense of pride and ownership over his environment.
