Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption AssociationJake is an energetic and adventurous boy with a big smile and an even bigger heart. He enjoys life to the fullest, whether he's gaming or practicing his ninja moves. Jake’s journey through foster care has made him strong and hopeful, always looking forward to new adventures and connections. He loves staying active, exploring new hobbies, and making friends. Despite challenges, Jake’s positive attitude and lively spirit shine through. He’s ready to find a caring forever family where he can continue to grow, learn, and share his joyful, fun-loving personality.
Jake wishes for a new Nintendo Switch because his previous one was thrown away by a former foster family, and he no longer has access to something that brought him comfort and stability. Jake has ADHD, and playing video games helps him stay calm, regulate his emotions, and focus in a healthy way. Gaming provides him with a positive outlet to relax after stressful days and helps reduce anxiety and overstimulation. Having a Nintendo Switch would also give Jake a sense of normalcy and ownership, which is especially important for a child in foster care who has experienced loss and disruption. It allows him to enjoy age-appropriate fun, build confidence, and engage in something he truly loves. Replacing the Switch would help support his emotional well-being and give him a safe, familiar activity that helps him feel more settled and secure.
