As a newly minted adult, Dylan is learning many lessons about independence. He’s opened his first bank account, secured his first apartment, and is learning to cook and do his own laundry. He dreams of getting his driver’s license and his first car. After a childhood full of change and moving between many homes, Dylan lost count of how many times he had to leave and how many personal items he lost along the way. Since moving into his first apartment last fall, he has vowed to build a stable life for himself and is taking it one step at a time.

Dylan was thrilled to get a bed for his tiny studio apartment, but many of his belongings are still on the floor or packed in the plastic trash bags he used when he moved last fall. He is hoping for a bookcase to help spruce up his living space and provide storage to get organized. This would give him a functional and welcoming space where he can feel more at home.
